6. Character: It’s white odorless powder with a strongly alkaline aqueous solution. It is highly deliquescent and agglomerates easily in air, readily soluble in water, and hygroscopic with a certain degree of corrosivity. It undergoes a neutralization reaction with acids to form the corresponding salts and release carbon dioxide.

7. Usage: It is used as a food additive, builder, pH adjuster, water softener, buffer and leavening agent.

8. Packing: It is packed with polythene bag as the inner layer, and plastic woven bag as the outer layer. 500KG net each jumbo bag; 25KG net each small bag.

9. Storage and Transport: It should be stored in a dry, clean, and ventilated warehouse, kept away from water and moisture during transport, unload with care so as to avoid damaging the bags. Be cautious to keep away from moisture and hot.
