6. Character : Colorless crystals or white crystalline powder. Easy to absorb moisture. Soluble in water and ethanol (1g product soluble in 0.5ml cold water, 0.2ml boiling water, 2.9ml ethanol). Aqueous solution reacts with litmus in an alkaline manner. The pH of 0.1mol/L aqueous solution is 9.7. Relative density 1.57. Melting point is 292 ℃. Low toxicity, 50% lethal dose (rat, oral) 3250mg/kg. The intermediate product is potassium oxalate and the final product is potassium carbonate.
7. Usage : Used as buffer, diuretic, fabric and paper softener, catalyst, etc.
8. Packing : It is packed with polyethylene bag as inner layer and a compound plastic woven bag as outer layer. The net weight of each bag is 25kg.
9. Storage and Transport : It should be stored in a dry and ventilating warehouse, be cautious to keep away from moisture and heat, unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it should be stored separately from poisonous substances.
